We finally got to play baseball! Not only did we get to play our opening games, but our Springfield Challenger teams were able to play their opening games. A successful opening weekend!
Our Springfield Challenger program is looking for support, both in preparing the fields each Sunday and in having spectators for their games. Due to our opening ceremony being canceled, we will sell raffle tickets for the Nationals tickets during our team photo day on April 13th. The raffle winner will receive two tickets to the Club Level plus a parking voucher. Thanks for BSN Sports for providing this opportunity to our League.
For those of you familiar with Byron, you probably noticed the old football press box is gone. We have been doing some infrastructure projects at Byron. We replaced the walls, roof, awning and door on the Wrigley press box and fixed the broken door and stairs on the Yankee press box. Soon, the 1B dugout roof at Wrigley will be repaired. We have other projects in our plans across the fields. Stay tuned for more infrastructure improvements.
